What are we looking for?

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Performance Engineer to join our Automation Platform Engineering team.

This role focuses on validating the performance, scalability, and resilience of our products under real-world and extreme workloads. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining performance testing frameworks, creating realistic load, stress, and endurance scenarios, analyzing system behavior, and identifying performance bottlenecks in microservices-based, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.

Working closely with Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams, you will help ensure our products meet the highest standards for performance, reliability, and scalability.

How will you make an impact?

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and automating complex performance, load, stress, and endurance test scenarios using Python and pytest
  • Developing load generators, stress tools, and performance analysis utilities
  • Building and maintaining performance dashboards, monitoring, and alerting solutions
  • Analyzing application and infrastructure performance to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
  • Investigating and troubleshooting performance issues across distributed systems
  • Researching, evaluating, and implementing new performance testing techniques and tools
  • Collaborating closely with Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams to improve product performance, scalability, and reliability

Requirements

What is needed to succeed?

Required qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in performance, load, and stress testing within Kubernetes and cloud-native environments
  • 4–6 years of hands-on Python development experience
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including debugging pods, nodes, deployments, jobs, and cluster resources
  • Practical experience with AWS, including EC2, VPC/networking concepts, and EKS
  • Experience automating performance testing using Python and test frameworks such as pytest
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and LLM-based applications as part of day-to-day QA and engineering workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a debugging-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive issues through to resolution
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desired qualifications

  • Familiarity with MongoDB
  • Experience with Playwright
  • Familiarity with Metabase
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes internals (resource management, networking, scheduling, events, etc.)
  • Experience with observability tools such as Groundcover, Lens, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Argo CD
  • Understanding of software testing principles and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
