Chief Executive Officer
Sandeep has spent many years in Silicon Valley as an executive, founder, strategic advisor and investor. He most recently served as CEO of Tricentis, which he led for seven years from an early-stage startup to a global leader of continuous-testing software solutions. Previously, Johri held senior management roles at HP, where he created and implemented the strategy to grow the software division from $600 million in revenue to category leadership and $3.5 billion in revenue. Johri has been the founder of several VC-funded security startups such as Oblix (acquired by Oracle), Determina and Bluelane (both acquired by VMware).
Maty Siman
Chief Technology Officer
Maty Siman is the Chief Technology Officer at Checkmarx. As the company’s founder, he has been instrumental in overseeing its technology and product strategy from the very beginning, helping customers achieve their goals of developing and releasing more secure software. Maty has more than 15 years’ experience in software development, IT security, and source code analysis. Previously, he worked for two years at the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office as a senior IT security expert and project manager. Additionally, he spent six years with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he was elected to the STAR excellence program and taught several consecutive sessions for their prestigious application development course, Mamram. Maty regularly speaks at IT security conferences, including RSA and Black Hat, and has been CISSP certified since 2003.
Shmuel Arvatz
Chief Financial Officer
Shmuel Arvatz is the Chief Financial Officer at Checkmarx. He oversees the company’s global financial, legal, operations and IT business functions. With more than 25 years of experience spanning large software companies, Shmuel has managed global finance and accounting operations as well as led initial and secondary public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and significant sales transactions for a number of companies. Before joining Checkmarx, Shmuel served as CFO at Allot Communications, a leading provider of security and monetization solutions. Prior to that, he spent 12 years as CFO at ClickSoftware. Shmuel earned his BA in economics and accounting from Bar-Ilan University.
Jonathan Rende
Chief Product Officer
As CPO, Jonathan leads product strategy and vision for the Checkmarx One application security platform. During his career, he’s been recognized for his leadership of development teams at Mercury Software, a leader in software testing that was acquired by HP Software for $4.5 billion, after which he grew the testing business from $700 million to over $1 billion via organic growth and security acquisitions. For the past eight years, Rende served as SVP and GM of Products at PagerDuty, the leading enterprise cloud platform for AI operations. There he led the continued scaling of the organization building out of the next generation of products for PagerDuty’s Operations Cloud focusing on Machine Learning, AI and Automation organically and via acquisition.
Scott Gainey
Chief Marketing Officer
Scott Gainey joined Checkmarx in June of 2025 as Chief Marketing Officer overseeing the creation and execution of the company’s marketing strategy, including the development of its global brand and customer growth. Scott brings over 20 years of marketing experience to Checkmarx, gained while serving as CMO and other leadership positions for some of the most innovative and disruptive security companies including Palo Alto Networks, SentinelOne, Nile, and Cisco.
Scott is driven to roles in markets undergoing major transformations which is what attracted him to Checkmarx who’s strong vision of driving increased developer productivity through AI while not compromising on security stands to redefine AppSec.
Scott received his B.S. from Cal Poly Humboldt, business and leadership studies from Stanford GSB and West Point’s Thayer Leadership Development Group.
Yigal Elstein
Chief Revenue Officer
Yigal is a seasoned enterprise software veteran with 20+ years experience in spearheading and leading sales organisations to drive revenue growth and over achieve. His track record ranges from early-stage VC- and private equity-backed software companies to large public companies driven to increase market share. Prior to Checkmarx, he served in leadership positions at Tricentis, ServiceNow, BMC, Mercury Interactive (Acquired by HP), Turbonomic (Acquired by IBM) and Perfecto Mobile (Acquired by Perforce). His expansive experience in heading direct sales, partner and services organizations contributes to his multifaceted leadership.
Einat Zuk
Chief Human Resources Officer
Einat Zuk is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Checkmarx. Einat is a seasoned HR Executive and Advisory Board member, with over 25 years of global experience in high-tech growth companies. She has served in senior executive roles, working with all levels of management and the Board of Directors. She is passionate about achieving concrete business goals through good HR strategy and people empowerment. Einat spent a large span of her career as the SVP HR for Mellanox Technologies, a pioneering computer networking products company, from its very early days until it was acquired by NVIDIA for $7 billion in 2020. She built, developed, and expanded all HR disciplines through the life cycle of the organization, as well as built and managed global, multi-disciplinary teams.
Ophir Hordan
SVP R&D
Ophir Hordan is the SVP of R&D at Checkmarx, where he spearheads the company’s global R&D initiatives and plays a pivotal role in driving its product innovation roadmap. With over two decades of leadership experience in software engineering and cybersecurity, Ophir brings a unique blend of technical depth and strategic technical vision to Checkmarx’s mission of securing modern application development.
Prior to joining Checkmarx, he held senior R&D leadership roles at companies like Skai (formerly Kenshoo), JFrog, and Orbitz, where he successfully built and led large-scale engineering teams and drove complex digital transformation initiatives. At Checkmarx, Ophir is fostering a high-performance engineering culture focused on execution, agility, security, and innovation.
Tarim Wasim
Partner, Hellman u0026 Friedman
Tarim is a Partner at Hellman Friedman. He focuses on investments in software, internet and business services. He’s also currently on the board of Genesys, SimpliSafe and Sprinklr. He was formerly a Director at Renaissance Learning, Internet Brands and AlixPartners. Prior to joining, Tarim worked at Bain Capital and Bain Company in Boston. Tarim has a BA from Dartmouth and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
Stephen Ensley
Stephen is a Partner at Hellman Friedman. He is on the Operating Committee of Genesys, a Director of Pharmaceutical Product Development and Checkmarx, and was formerly on the Board of Directors of CarProof and Sheridan Healthcare and active in the Firm’s investments in Sprinklr, Applied Systems and AlixPartners. Stephen joined in 2009 and prior to, worked in the Mergers Acquisitions and Industrials groups at J.P. Morgan in New York. Stephen has a BA and and MS from Stanford University.

Dionne works with Insight’s portfolio companies to help them grow. In addition to Checkmarx, she serves on the board for Jama Software and observes on the boards of Exclaimer, CentralReach, SonarSource, and Anaqua. Previously, Dionne worked in Global Business Operations at Google, acquiring and growing customer business in both major and emerging markets.

Art Heidrich is based in San Francisco, where he helps lead and support TPG’s investment activities in software and enterprise technology across its private equity platforms. Art currently serves on the boards of Boomi, Digital.ai, Sauce Labs, WellSky, and Wind River, and has been involved with investments in Advent Software, C3 AI, Checkmarx, Eze Software, IMS Health, RefleXion Medical, Sonatype, SunGard Data Systems, and Vertafore. Prior to joining TPG in 2011, Art worked in the technology investment banking group at Morgan Stanley, where he advised on and executed corporate finance transactions. Emmanuel Benzaquen is the Co-Founder at Checkmarx. Leading Checkmarx since its inception in 2006, he has helped shape the company from vision to reality in pioneering and bringing software security solutions to companies all over the world. Benzaquen’s career spans Silicon Valley and Israel for more than 25 years. Prior to Checkmarx, he held numerous leadership positions in the enterprise software, IT, and semiconductor industries for companies including Virage Logic (acquired by Synopsys), Argonaut RISC Core (which completed its IPO in 2000), Embedded Performance, Inc. (acquired by Mentor Graphics), and Illuminator (acquired by Dell EMC). Benzaquen earned his MBA and Master of Science degrees in International Business and Electrical Engineering, respectively.
