Managing Tournaments

What is a Tournament?

Organizations often use annual training sessions to make sure developers are sharpening their secure coding education and skills. With Codebashing Tournaments, this training can also be fun!

A tournament is a live competition where developers compete with their peers to resolve application security (AppSec) related issues and is intended to sharpen developers’ secure coding and vulnerability remediation skills. Your developers will experience an extremely fun and gamified competition where they select their own avatars and nicknames, stay up to date through a leaderboard that is constantly being revised to increase competition, and work within a time limit for every challenge.

Why Tournaments Make Sense

  • Increases AppSec awareness in a fun and rewarding way.

  • Engages developers while sharpening their AppSec skills.

  • Measures the organization’s overall AppSec awareness while discovering knowledge gaps.
